The Wait
I was just sitting here trying out a Jim Beam Honey on the rocks (LOVE the JD Tennessee Honey but thought I'd try saving $5) when I remembered I have a blog! So here is where things are... I've entered the wait-but-I-cant-stand-it-twiddle-my-thumbs-I-want-to-write-more-but-I-have-a-day-job-when-the-hell-will-they-ever-get-to-my-copyright-app-blurry-days-limbo phase. And here is what happens in this phase: I wait. I listen to the master tracks twice a day and pick 'em apart. Over and over and over and over again. "What's that weird clunky crash at the top of the intro?" "That verse vocal is too loud..." "That guitar line is too soft and to much to the left..." "What the hell did I sing right there!?!" "Too much bass!" With work at the day job ramping up now - the snow is finally leaving - the wait should get a bit easier and quicker. Plenty of time to tweak this and that and hopefully not overdo it...
